Fashion Shouldn't Cost the Earth

The global fashion industry produces around 92 million tonnes of textile waste each year. Most of it ends up in landfill. We think that's unacceptable — especially when so much of what's thrown away is genuinely beautiful, high-quality clothing.

What We Do

Every Tie Hard purchase is a vote against waste. Here's how our model works:

  • We source pre-loved — every tie in our store is vintage or previously owned. Nothing new is manufactured on our behalf.
  • We extend product life — a quality silk tie can last decades. We give them the chance to.
  • We photograph honestly — clear images mean fewer returns, less unnecessary shipping, less waste.
  • We pack carefully — minimal, recyclable packaging where possible.

The Numbers

We've rescued over 1,200 ties from potential waste. That's 1,200 garments not going to landfill. Not a bad start.

Our Reworked Range

Some ties arrive with minor damage — a stain, a small snag, a fraying tip. Rather than discarding them, we rework them. Ties become bow ties. Long ties become pocket squares. Silk becomes something new.

It's not just sustainable. It's creative. And every reworked piece is completely one of a kind.

Join the Movement

When you buy from Tie Hard, you're part of something bigger than a transaction. You're choosing quality over quantity, longevity over trends, and character over conformity.

Wear it like you mean it.
